Google DeepMind's text-to-image model, reached through Google's own apps
Imagen is Google DeepMind's text-to-image model family. It is not sold as a standalone subscription product in the way many generators are; instead the model is reached through Google surfaces such as Gemini, ImageFX and Workspace tools, with developer access through Google's AI APIs. Its reputation rests on photorealism, accurate lighting and unusually good handling of text inside images, which come from the model architecture and Google's training data. For most people the practical entry point is a Google account and one of those apps rather than the research page describing the model.
